Every day, Loaves & Fishes has the privilege and the opportunity to deliver on our mission: to provide nutritious meals that are hot and prepared, delivered, and served free of charge to hungry and homeless neighbors.

We began this journey in 1980, serving our first meal to 11 adults and 15 children.  Forty-one years later, through many refinements and a global pandemic, we will end FY2022 serving over 1.8 million meals to the most vulnerable among us throughout our Santa Clara and San Mateo County communities. 

Last year, with the generosity and support of John and Sue Sobrato, we found our forever home!   This has led us to the next step in our evolution as a critical services provider: to remodel our home to include a centralized commercial kitchen and culinary institute that will enable us to continue serving the growing needs throughout our communities for years to come.

You can help make this exciting transformation a reality! We have launched Sowing Seeds of Hope-Our Kitchen and Culinary Institute Campaign; an effort to raise $4.3 million to support the renovation of our new forever home in San Jose. Every dollar donated will increase our ability to serve more people more efficiently and effectively.  The wonderful news is that, thanks to early supporters, we are already at 70% of our goal!  But we still have work to do, and we are asking for your help.
