HOW WE SERVE
Our Bay Area Community
Since 2014, we have steadily increased and streamlined our services to support the ever-increasing number of those fighting hunger and food insecurity in the Bay Area. More and more of our neighbors need access to affordable and nutritious prepared meals and support services. We’re here to provide them with those meals and services.
PREPARED MEAL PROGRAM
Our Prepared Meal Program provides “to go” meals five days a week at Goodwill Industries in San Jose and Catered Too in East Palo Alto, serving low-income families, disadvantaged individuals with a special concern for children, families, seniors, veterans, students, the disabled, and individuals experiencing homelessness.
Our Prepared Meal Program provides over 24,000 free hot and nutritious prepared meals every week to those who are hungry.
A LA CARTE
Through our A La Carte Food Recovery Program, we’ve extended our partnership model. We now operate two centralized kitchens and our fleet of trucks includes three specialized hot/cold temperature-controlled delivery trucks and three refrigerated trucks.
Through our extended partnership model, we’ve been able to deliver an average of 35,000 meals per week across the Bay Area.
PARTNERSHIPS
We partner with non-profits at 40 locations throughout Santa Clara and San Mateo counties to provide free meals to guests at low-income senior retirement centers, community centers, schools, shelters, transitional housing, and after school programs. If you are interested in partnering with us, please feel free to reach out.
The Need For Our Services is Growing
Since March 2020, the requests for our services have tripled. We provided 1,521,506 meals in 2021 - triple the number of meals we provided in 2019. While our work may sound impressive, there is still a lot more to be done.
The high cost of living, under-employment, and unemployment in the Bay Area drive the need for our services and increase the number of hungry individuals in our Bay Area community.
Hunger doesn’t have a pause button, and neither do we!
